Wherever we are, we follow the path Christ set for us when we knowingly, willingly, and joyfully demonstrate our faith. At St. Mary Magdalene, we can't keep our faith to ourselves! Sometimes our reach extends to our fellow parishioners, sometimes well beyond our doors. Find your perfect expression of Jesus' love through participation in our social action ministries. You'll know you're in the right place when you simply can't keep your faith to yourself!

Social Action Ministries

The new "Bienvenido" group of Spanish speaking parishioners will function as a voice and assistance to any church ministry that finds itself in need of a translator to better understand and communicate with those whom they are serving.

If your ministry or someone you know at StMM is in need of a Spanish speaking translator, please reach out directly to Rudy, our group leader.  Rudy will gather the request and assign one of the group members to contact you back within 24 hours and make the connection with you and the people you are serving.  We are eager to help all our StMM ministries by helping them with communications to the Spanish speaking population they serve.

Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry whose objectives are to eliminate poverty housing from the world while building new relationships and a sense of community.  St. Mary Magdalene works with the Wake County Chapter of Habitat as a co-sponsor on projects. Co-sponsors pool their resources to provide funding and volunteer labor for the construction of a new home by providing opportunities for a diverse group of volunteers to work together with families in need of housing.  Habitat promotes a sense of community, while affirming the dignity of each family.
