Advent with Purpose

Does the approaching holiday season make you feel tired just thinking about it? Are you looking for a way to bring meaning to this Advent season? Could you grow closer to Christ this year, despite the hustle and bustle, as we anticipate His holy coming as an infant in a manger? Come join women just like you who are looking for an Advent With Purpose! We are excited to host speaker Laura Phelps who will guide us, enlighten us, and even make us laugh for a morning of friendship and fellowship!  

When: Thursday, December 11, 2025
Where: St. Mary Magdalene, main church
Time: 10:00a-12:30p (mass offered at 9a)
Cost: $25 – Visit the STMM Giving Portal after November 11 to pay. Your presence means more than anything. If the cost feels burdensome, please let us know and we are happy to handle it.
What’s included: coffee and beverages plus a lunch of small bites in the Narthex with be available after the speaking event!
In Addition: If your schedule allows, we’d like to continue the fellowship at Vicious Fishes Apex immediately following the lunch!!

Who Is Laura Phelps? Laura Phelps is a nationally known Catholic speaker, author, and content leader affiliated with Walking With Purpose (WWP), an women’s Bible study and ministry known across the world and offered here at STMM. She is the author of two books; Victorious Secret: Everyday Battles and How to Win Them, and, Sweet Cross: A Marian Guide to Suffering.  Laura co-hosts WWP’s podcast, Hope for Right Now, with Lisa Brenninkmeyer and is a wife and mother of four children.

Relatable, honest, and often hilarious, Laura generously shares the pain of her life, offering you the hope and healing she has found through Jesus and Mary. Laura has talked openly about the “mess she was, mess she still is, and the God who rescues her”. Bring a friend and experience Advent With Purpose!
