Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of age.  ~Matthew 28: 19-20

The mission of the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church’s Religious Education program is to provide students with age-appropriate catechesis guided by biblical faith, the teachings of the Church, and a clear vision of the Gospel. We accomplish this by building upon students’ life experiences, fostering family involvement, developing spirituality and involvement in liturgical prayer, encouraging moral development, and challenging students to experience faith in a spirit of joy.

Diocesan sacrament guidelines require all children between the ages of 6-17 to be baptized Catholic and have completed one formal year of religious education prior to preparing for sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and/or Confirmation, making each a two-year preparation program.

Our students are expected to be formally registered every calendar year in order to participate in our programs. We expect families to set the very best example for our children by being registered members of the parish, attending weekend masses, and supporting the parish financially with weekly contributions using the envelope system or EFT drafts.
